I'm Back, Baby.

Fri May 8, 2009, 12:57 AM
  • Mood: Lazy
After two years of lurking, and throwing up the odd design or portrait, I've finally decided to make a bit of a comeback and start uploading my stuff a little more regularly. Especially since I'm actually doing art again, and pretty consistently, too.

Around the end of December last year, I decided it was time for me to add something new to my repertoire. These days I'm working as a Web/UI Designer and Developer, so playing with CSS and the like has started to become quite second nature. What I hadn't been doing is drawing regularly. So I figured, it's time I finally start the comic I've been meaning to do for years.

And so I did. I'd love to tell you all about it right now, but in about an hour I'm heading out to a private screening of Star Trek.

In the meantime, head over to [link] and have a read.

Till next time,

Jelly

deviantID

Jelly is not, despite popular opinion, a delicious green desert which is often found hiding in a bowl at various pizza restaurants. Instead, he is a designer and developer that works long hours as part of a team that creates web-based applications for geoscientists and their esteemed and not-so-esteemed peers.

At this point it is important to note that it is quite difficult to have long hours, seeing that all hours are made up of the same amount of minutes, which are made out of the same amount of seconds and so forth. It requires much commitment and concentration to stretch hours, and can usually be avoided by simply not owning a watch.

In any case, it is outside of these long hours that Jelly is able to chase his true passion, which is undoubtedly film. Or design... or cartooning. Or animation. In which case it would mean that he has a number of passions and the previous list is not necessarily in a particular order.

Besides having written and directed one film, he spends most of his waking hours tending to an online comic that goes by the name of Jelly's World. This comic is heavily based on his life, which must be exciting enough for people to care, because he enjoys a select following of regular readers.

He also owns a watch, but chooses not to look at it in the hopes that he will find that the long hours are only a very uninviting dream, or a dream of a dream, or both, or neither, or all of the above.

What's up?! I was wondering if you would allow me to use your emoticons?

A person's two biggest questions in life:

1) Who am I?

2) What's my purpose in life?

Alec - Can you answer these questions?
:iconjellybeansoup:
could you give me some more details of what you want to use them for?

Some of your emoticons seem to match my personality but more importantly, I have some literature that I could feature them in. Of course, I would give you the credit for your emoticons on it if I can put them in. I will understand if you reject.

It's not a problem. Go ahead and use them. :)

Just let me know which ones you use. Otherwise, use whichever ones you like.

I'm actually a mate of your brother Chris. I work with him, and he introduced me to your gallery when I mentioned dA to him.
