The National Carillion

A backdrop painted for one of the panels in the 100th Jelly's World strip. In case you don't recognise the location, it's the National Carillion in Canberra: basically a bell tower stuck out on a little island smack bang in the centre of town.

Well, not so much the centre, but you get my drift.

I've been working on my landscapes lately, pretty much in tandem with my comic. Some of them come out looking kinda meh... but I'm pretty proud of this one.

I used two photos for reference: a shot I took myself for the angle and a night shot which gave me a good idea for the colour.
